Skiing in Carezza and Obereggen
The ski areas of Carezza and Obereggen offer around 90 km of ski slopes in total, with varied runs for beginners, experienced skiers and families. Carezza is just a few minutes from Hotel Engel. The Welschnofen/Nova Levante cable car to the Carezza ski area is around 800 metres from the hotel and easy to reach.

Ski School Chaperone Service
Carezza is especially family-friendly. At the Carezza Ski School, children and beginners learn their first turns on practice slopes and in Naniland. In the morning, our team accompanies children to ski school and collects them again after their lesson. Afterwards, the children have lunch together at the hotel and spend the afternoon at the HappyClub – while parents enjoy their ski day with peace of mind.
Cross-country skiing & tobogganing
Beyond the ski slopes, the Eggental valley offers plenty of ways to enjoy active winter days. Cross-country trails can be found at Carezza and at the Lavazè Cross-Country Ski Centre, where the snowy mountain landscape reveals its quieter side. For families, tobogganing is one of the simple joys of winter. Toboggans can be borrowed directly at the hotel – perfect for easy-going fun in the snow.

Slow Winter
Beyond skiing, winter in the Eggental valley also has a quieter side. Several times a week, guided winter walks and snowshoe tours lead through snow-covered forests, peaceful trails and scenic viewpoints around Rosengarten and Latemar. The right equipment is available directly at the hotel – from snowshoes and poles to further winter gear. A simple, safe and mindful way to experience the Dolomites away from the pistes.
